Join UNA, Salt Lake City Officials and nonprofit stakeholders for an opportunity to create relationships, collaborate, and find new ways to solve problems and elevate our communities. Our goal is to build a true community working in concert to make our lives, city, and world better. And all of that starts with meaningful conversations.
OverviewConnect with nonprofits from all cause areas to break down barriers and find new partners in your important work. The Forum begins with a welcome from Tony Milner, who serves as Director of the Housing Stability Division at Salt Lake City Corporation. Following that welcome, you'll join nonprofit professionals and City staff members at a table focused on your cause area. Each person at the table will share a micro-presentation that identifies their most pressing problems and ways that they can contribute. Following the presentations, you'll break into smaller groups to form deeper relationships and identify potential opportunities to work together. After a brief break, you'll find a new table to begin the second round of collaborations as you connect with new people in your next table group.
The Forum will bring like-minded people together to spark ideas and connections, but the real impact happens when these relationships ignite change.

Please note
How do I prepare?
Come prepared with a two-minute presentation on the problems you want to solve and what resources you can share. We know that you’re trying to find big solutions, so consider bringing forward an immediate issue. We will be breaking people into rotating groups to discuss and build collaboration on the following subjects:
Bring something that you can use to take notes.
Bring your calendar.
Prime your ideas and expectations by familiarizing yourself with the Models of Collaboration for Nonprofits.
Include some handouts, documents, and other takeaways that will help the people you meet walk away with a clear understanding of how you can collaborate.
Questions or topic discussion suggestions: Email Julie Chang at Utah Nonprofits Association.
