About the Speaker

Scott Mietchen, CFRE
President & Managing Partner, Fund Raising Counsel, Inc. (FRCI)

Scott has more than 35 years of comprehensive experience in institutional advancement, including fundraising, foundation and campaign management, consulting, public relations and marketing, and volunteer and staff management.

A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), he has held senior advancement leadership roles at Utah State University and the University of Utah, where he helped lead billion-dollar and multi-hundred-million-dollar fundraising campaigns that achieved record-breaking philanthropic support. He has also served in development leadership roles for the Utah Symphony and the American Diabetes Association, taught graduate students as an adjunct faculty member, and presented at fundraising conferences nationwide.

Recognized as Utah's Fundraiser of the Year, Scott combines deep expertise with decades of experience working alongside Utah's philanthropic community, making him a trusted authority on fundraising and foundation partnerships throughout the state.
