Clinical Supervisor Manager

We're hiring a part-time Clinical Supervisor in Salt Lake City, Utah at our Veteran facility with a fantastic Sign-on Bonus.
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for meeting with assigned supervisees for a total of 1 hour for every 40 hours worked by the supervisee. The Clinical Supervisor works to ensure that supervisees are operating within their scope of practice and following licensing rules as set forth in the General Rule, Mental Health Professional Practice Act Rule, and other applicable rules set forth by the Utah Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing. Clinical Supervisors may choose to work from the supervision mode of their choice, but regardless of model, they are required to ensure that agency-specified topics are addressed on a quarterly basis. The Clinical Supervisor will conduct periodic observations of the supervisee in both group and individual settings and will provide feedback based upon these observations. The Clinical Director may also request that the Clinical Supervisor instruct, provide correction, model, or role play portions of specific therapeutic modalities to ensure treatment fidelity. The Clinical Supervisor may be required to conduct a periodic review of the supervisees client files to ensure that documentation is being completed accurately and that it meets contractual requirements as set forth by First Step House funding partners. Finally, the Clinical Supervisor may be required to review and co-sign client treatment plans formulated by the supervisee.
- Pay range: $105 - $118 per hour
Education and Experience
- A Master's degree and an active license in the State of Utah as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist are required.
- Two years of work experience post-licensure, for a minimum total of four years of post-graduate practice is required.
- Experience in both substance abuse and mental health is preferred.
- Previous experience as a supervisor preferred.
- Knowledgeable and up to date with all laws and rules regarding supervision, as defined by Utah State Law and DOPL Rule.

Duties to include but not limited to:
- Responsible for understanding and demonstrating outward mindset in work duties and interactions.
- Performs individual, weekly, face-to-face, supervision sessions for supervisees working with clients who have substance-use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
- Assists supervisees in using the American Society of Addiction Medicine's (ASAM) treatment criteria in recommending client service levels and in formulating treatment plans.
- Assist supervisees in using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV-TR and DSM-5) as well as the International Classification of Diseases Code Set (ICD-9 and ICD-10) in formulating clinical diagnoses for clients who have substance-use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
- Uses the Utah Web Infrastructure for Treatment Services (UWITS) database to review clinical notes, case-management notes, treatment plans, client information updates, billing information, and other relevant client information.
- Maintains knowledge of program rules, client rules, client rights, and relevant legal and ethical codes.
- Promotes treatment modalities and principles that are congruent with the First Step House treatment philosophy.
