Donor Database Coordinator

Fundraising and Development

The Donor Database Coordinator is responsible for supporting Utah Food Bank’s fundraising and donor relations efforts. The successful candidate will be the “super user” of the development department’s CRM, RE NXT, assisting with a broad range of database tasks including queries, dashboards, and global updates. They will become well-versed on other platforms, including GiveSmart, and assist with day-to-day development tasks as needed. The successful candidate will enjoy working with data and have advanced computer skills.


Duties: 

  • Lead the development staff’s use of RE NXT providing donor record management to ensure data entry processes are uniform and functional
  • Develop and execute major/complex queries and reports and manage global updates, including NCOA (National Change of Address) reports
  • Support the gift recognition process for events using GiveSmart
  • Intentionally promote a positive work culture and environment
  • Maintain confidentiality of donors and other protected information
  • Support Development, Communications, and Finance staff with administrative duties as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree in business management, technology, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience with database applications or CRM (customer relationship management)
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Exceptional attention to detail; quick learner with ability to retain knowledge
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities
  • Advanced query and reporting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  • Flexible and willing to work outside of job description if needed
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Physical Requirements:

The work is sedentary.  Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.  However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.  During peak seasons, all UFB staff may be asked to assist with receiving donations, picking up donations or other customer service work outside the normal scope of duties.
