Customer Service Marketing and Communications

The National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome is seeking a passionate and experienced Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission to prevent shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma and promote the well-being of infants through supporting and educating families, caregivers and professionals.


As a Marketing Specialist, this Full-time, 40 hours per week position with the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome (NCSBS), will support the NCSBS’s marketing strategy. Applicants should have experience coordinating marketing efforts through various channels including social media and other digital media. Applicants should have experience with graphic design and the creation of digital media assets. Applicants should have strong writing skills and be able to compose both long and short copy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in teams to develop marketing campaigns for NCSBS projects and programs.
  • Develop marketing assets for campaigns, which can include static or animated graphics, videos and other digital media.
  • Conduct live presentations and trainings via Zoom or in-person settings.
  • Create and schedule all NCSBS email marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain the NCSBS social media channels including creating content, graphics and any digital media associated.
  • Maintain the NCSBS online store including updating graphics, copy and managing all promotions.
  • Pitch NCSBS-related stories to local and national media outlets.
  • Conduct market research for NCSBS prevention education products and events.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or other graphic design software.
  • Experience with social media channels: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok.
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact or other email campaign software.
  • Superior organization skills.
  • Ability to manage a schedule with frequently changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work with diverse team members.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S.


Compensation Package

Starting salary is $17-19/hr DOE. Full benefits package includes health and dental insurance, individual retirement account with 3% match, generous sick and vacation leave that increases with tenure and paid leave for 12 state and federally observed holidays.
