Programs Coordinator
Family Promise Salt Lake is an organization with the mission of helping families experiencing homelessness find independence and security. We strive to support and partner with families as they transition to permanent housing through community, empowerment, and care. We are seeking a case manager who will enable Family Promise Salt Lake to further our mission and be a part of the solution to end homelessness for families.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Programs Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the FPSL programs, partnering with the Executive Director and Case Manager to ensure the best possible support for the families whom we serve.
- Oversee the day program – including transportation to and from the day center for guests in emergency housing.
- Perform property management duties
- Manage the maintenance of day program and laundry facilities.
- Perform inspections of transitional housing spaces.
- Manage the maintenance of transitional housing spaces.
- Maintain records of transitional housing space – families in/out, maintenance records, inspection records, etc.
- Report any needed maintenance to Executive Director and schedule any needed work with the go-ahead from Executive Director.
- Maintain and keep records for van – scheduled maintenance, registration, etc.
- Assist with grocery pickup and delivery when needed
- Coordinate volunteers and coordinators in collaboration with FPSL team members
- Collect Transitional Housing fees.
- Coordinate schedules for overnight host
- Manage moving of guests between emergency housing and transitional housing
- Serve as day-program van driver
The ideal candidate will possess:.
- Experience working with families and children.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team - including colleagues, board members and volunteers.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to follow through on projects in a fast-paced, often pressured environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel as well as Google apps such as Sheets and Calendar
- Able to lift 25 pounds
- Spanish Speaking Preferred.
This is a part-time on-site position and may require occasional evenings or weekends.
A background check and clean driving record is required for this position.
