Job Description:
UNA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Subject Matter Expert (SME) to instruct the Nonprofit Credential in Fundraising and Development, one of nine courses from UNA’s Nonprofit Credential program. Credential SMEs are expected to instruct, coach, and offer valuable feedback to Credential participants. This is a contracted (1099) position.
About the Program:
The UNA Credential is a series of nine courses that provides nonprofits with a tested, effective, and efficient process to build internal capacity and ensure long-term sustainability. The goal of the Credential is to educate and equip organizations with the resources, tools, and coaching they need to strengthen their organizations and effectively deliver on their missions. Course dates are to be scheduled in Q1 2025 and specific dates will be determined by the availability of the selected contractor.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review, and as necessary, update UNA’s Credential fundraising and development-focused course. UNA will provide resources and materials from previous courses; this includes the course plan, badge requirements, pre- and post-assessments, and slide decks
Follow all copyright laws
Instruct a two-day, live, online course via Zoom in Leadership and Organizational Culture (approximately 10 hours total)
Provide each participating nonprofit organization a 40-minute consultation
Review submitted evidence items from participating organizations and provide constructive feedback
Meet all deadlines and commitments
Qualifications:
Previous Nonprofit fund development experience (preferred)
DEIB learning/competency
Able to design program resources/offerings
Teaching/public speaking skills
Coaching experience
Leadership experience
Understanding of nonprofit organizational climate and needs
Experience in Grant Writing, Capital Campaigns, Strategic Planning Processes, Key Performance Indicators, and Fundamental Fundraising Principles
Access to Zoom, Microsoft Office, and a stable internet connection
Approximate Time Commitment:
Approximately 10 hours of training (sessions broken up into two days)
Approximately 16 hours of consultations (broken up into two days)
Post-training availability to support and respond to participants (six-month window)
About eight hours of evidence item reviewing
About nine hours of lesson design
Payment:
$2,000 upon completion of the contract agreement.
Additional compensation is provided if the consultation hours need to be extended.
