Do you love working with children and want to make a difference while having fun this summer? Are you looking for a rewarding, short-term opportunity to build leadership skills and gain valuable experience? If so, our Seasonal Summer Youth Leader position at Neighborhood House is the perfect fit!

Neighborhood House is a licensed and NAEYC-accredited organization providing high-quality youth programs for children ages 5–12. As a Summer Youth Leader, you’ll help create a memorable summer experience for kids through engaging activities, outdoor adventures, and community-building opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead summer enrichment activities that promote learning, creativity, and teamwork
• Supervise and engage children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and field trips
• Encourage social-emotional growth and positive peer relationships
• Promote active play and exploration through outdoor games and recreation
• Model and reinforce positive behavior and safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with youth, staff, and families
• Provide safe transportation for children in a 15-passenger van, as needed


What We’re Looking For:
• At least 18 years old
• High-energy, dependable, and passionate about youth development
• First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid Utah Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required for van driving)
• Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual a plus)
• Demonstrated leadership, responsibility, and a collaborative spirit

 
 

Schedule & Pay:
• Seasonal Summer Position: Monday–Friday, center is open from 6:30am-5:30pm
• Program Dates: June – August (exact dates based on program needs)
• Pay Range: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, DOE
