Contract Term: 6 months, with potential renewal

Role Overview:
The Teen Center Data Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the success and sustainability of Utah’s Teen Centers. This position ensures that accurate, actionable data informs statewide programs, advocacy efforts, and resource distribution. The contractor will manage and maintain existing data tools, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with The Policy Project team to strengthen data systems that measure impact and support policy advancement.
Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain data collection resources for Utah’s Teen Centers, ensuring accuracy and consistency across tools.
Support the upkeep of TPP's statewide Looker Studio dashboard, including updating aggregate datasets and troubleshooting issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve data sharing or access issues across multiple Google Sheets users.
Provide technical support and limited training for school Teen Center contacts on how to use the already-developed data tools and reporting systems.
Conduct outreach to Teen Center staff to answer questions, gather feedback, and support consistent reporting.
Collaborate with The Policy Project team to improve system usability and ensure high-quality data collection that supports evaluation and advocacy.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with Google Looker Studio, including creating and maintaining dashboards with aggregated data.
Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, including formulas and writing/implementing scripts for automation.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to shared Google Workspace tools.
Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes in simple, approachable terms for non-technical users.
Self-directed, reliable, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision while meeting project timelines.
