Position Title: Community Holiday Engagement Assistant
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Full or part-time status: Part-time - Temporary (10-19 hours/week, October 2024 - December 2024)

Hiring Range: $16.00-$20.75/hr. DOE

Primary Function of Position
As the Community Holiday Engagement Specialist, you will provide invaluable support for our annual Gift of the Drummer campaign, which significantly benefits our Refugee Resettlement & Refugee Foster Care programs.
Major Position Responsibilities
- Gift of the Drummer Program: Collaborate with our team to help develop and efficiently manage the Gift of the Drummer Program.
- Clerical Work: Maintain meticulous data records for the Gift of the Drummer Program using Excel.
- Donor Assignments: Assign donors to refugee youth clients and diligently document donations.
- Volunteer Support: Provide essential logistical support to our dedicated volunteers.
- Donation Coordination: Organize incoming Gift of the Drummer donations.
- Gift-Wrapping Events: Play a pivotal role in organizing and facilitating gift-wrapping service group events.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment
- This role is in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
- Some local travel is anticipated as part of the role's responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- While primarily a sedentary role, some filing tasks are involved. This entails lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and occasionally bending or standing as needed.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Education, Training, and Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with some office experience.
- Relevant Knowledge: Familiarity with donation operations, volunteer work, or community organizations is a plus.
Background Screening Requirement
- Must pass a national BCI/FBI background check.
Licenses, certifications, and credentials
- A current Utah driver's license and provide proof of auto insurance meeting minimum policy liability limits of $50,000 per person and $100,000 per incident. Additionally, be 21 years of age or older, maintain a clean driving record, and have the capacity to fulfill CCS vehicle safety standards.
Position status and expected schedule
- This is a part-time, temporary position requiring 10-19 hours of work per week from October 2024 to December 2024.
- Please note that this role may occasionally require evening availability and some weekend work.
