Join UNA and professionals from FORVIS Mazar's Nonprofit Advisory, Audit, and Outsourced Accounting teams for a two-hour crash course and interactive experience in everyday QuickBooks Online accounting. During this training we begin with the basic tasks and discuss the complementary features that may enhance system utilization and user familiarity. This is a 

Our attention then shifts to management and the best practices that bring value to financial reports, dashboards, and internal control procedures. Together, we'll review chart of account components and design considerations, close a reporting period, monitor program activity, create customized budgets, and incorporate auditor-provided observations and feedback. 

In our final segment, we invite the audience to bring case examples and questions into a roundtable discussion. Here, we look to meet individual challenges and provide generalized solutions, leaving our participants feeling empowered as they revisit routine performances in QuickBooks Online accounting.

This is Course 3 of the Financial Empowerment Series. This training will be recorded and provided to registrants after the sessions are completed.

She has 20+ years of outsourced accounting services helping small and large businesses to develop, oversee, and manage their accounting. She enjoys learning about each business while teaching business owners and their teams to organize, understand, and learn accounting procedures and processes while providing the best services possible. She is a Certified QBO ProAdvisor with Advanced and Payroll certifications.

Evan Sheehan, Senior Consultant II / Nonprofit Advisory Services

Evan is a member of Forvis Mazars Nonprofit Advisory Services team. For over 7 years, Evan has provided a range of accounting services working both within and on behalf of nonprofit and public sector organizations. He passionately serves each client in response to individual and dynamic accountancy needs or the goals of the organization.

His accumulated experiences and expertise exist within outsourced accounting and oversight roles, audit and budget preparation, system utilization and implementation, operational and compliance assessment, policy and procedure development, grants management, and complex external reporting. He maintains an opportunistic eye for identifying areas for improvement, introducing best practices, and developing the technical skills of organizational staff.
