Discover Your Inner Flame: Passion, Purpose, and Self-Awareness

Every mission-driven leader starts with a spark. But how do you identify what truly fuels you and bring that energy into your work?

In this opening session, you will explore the internal drivers that shape motivation, career alignment, and personal purpose. When leaders understand what energizes them, they show up with greater clarity, authenticity, and impact.

Adam Conley, Founder of Transformative HR Support, will help participants develop practical approaches for showing up with greater intention in the workplace. Guest speaker Deanna Busby‑Rast, founder of Authentica Group and experienced career coach, will lead a session on discovering and aligning personal passion with meaningful work.

About the Instructor(s):

Adam Conley, MA, PHR, SHRM-SCP, is the founder of Transformative HR Support and a Human Resources leader with over a decade of experience helping organizations navigate the conversations most people would rather avoid.

Throughout his career, Adam has worked alongside nonprofit leaders, executive teams, and frontline managers to address performance concerns, workplace tension, restructuring challenges, and complex employee relations issues. He understands that in mission-driven organizations, conflict can feel especially personal — and that avoiding it often comes at a high cost to culture, morale, and impact.

With advanced education in leadership and business, and professional certifications in HR, Adam blends strategy with practicality. His approach is direct, engaging, and refreshingly real. He believes brave conversations don’t require harshness — they require clarity, preparation, and the confidence to lead with both accountability and empathy.

DeAnna Busby‑Rast is the Founder and CEO of Authentica Group, an executive coach, trainer, and keynote speaker who helps leaders discover their purpose, clarify their value, and communicate with confidence. With 30 years of experience in financial services across operations, sales, marketing, and corporate communications, she brings a deep understanding of complex business challenges and leadership growth. Through coaching, workshops, and leadership development programs, she guides professionals to align purpose with action and deliver measurable results. Known for her authentic, engaging style, DeAnna speaks at national conferences and facilitates programs on communication, influence, and leadership. She is a certified coach, a mentor, and a passionate advocate for women’s leadership, and she finds joy in family, travel, and time spent near the water.
