About

Looking for real ways to support your team?

UNA is thrilled to announce our newest member benefit with BetterHelp. Starting in June, UNA’s nonprofit members—including all staff, board members, and official volunteers—will have access to convenient and professional therapy online.

BetterHelp is the world’s leading online therapy platform with over 25,000 therapists across the U.S., services in 50+ languages, and support in over 200 countries. BetterHelp offers access to licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), and board licensed professional counselors (LPC). UNA members will be able to access individual, couples, and teen therapy services on the platform.

The partnership we have arranged will give everyone one month of free therapy (up to 4 live sessions) with a therapist who is specifically assigned based on individual preferences. You can communicate with your therapist via phone, video and live chat, plus you can message your therapist whenever you’d like.

To access this incredible resource, we ask that nonprofit members update their organization’s contacts in Member Central, under View Membership Details.  Once updated, you will receive an email from contact@betterhelp.com, which contains the link to get started. If you don't receive an email, please contact us.

Below are some FAQ's about this new benefit.

  • Who are the therapists?
    • Therapists on BetterHelp are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD/PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW/LMSW), or licensed professional counselors (LPC). All of them have a Masters Degree or a Doctorate Degree in their field. They have been qualified and certified by their state's professional board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice. While their experience, expertise, and background vary, they all possess at least 3 years and 2,000 hours of hands-on experience.
  • What types of services does BetterHelp provide?
