Wasatch Advocates for Livable Communities (WALC) is seeking new members to join our Board of Directors at a pivotal moment for housing and community development in the Wasatch Region.

As our organization continues to grow in reach and impact, we are expanding our board to reflect the diversity, expertise, and geographic breadth of the communities we serve.

WALC works across the Wasatch Front to advance abundant, inclusive housing; modernize outdated land use regulations; support walkable, transit-connected neighborhoods; and promote governance structures that increase transparency and accountability. Our advocacy is grounded in research, data, and collaboration with community members, policymakers, and partner organizations.

We are seeking individuals who bring strategic insight, subject matter expertise, and a commitment to strengthening communities. Ideal candidates may have experience in housing policy, planning, transportation, public administration, communications, fundraising, finance, law, or nonprofit governance. We also welcome leaders from business, neighborhood organizations, and community-based groups who share our vision for livable, opportunity-rich communities.

Board members play a vital role in setting organizational direction, ensuring financial sustainability, supporting fundraising efforts, and serving as ambassadors for WALC’s mission. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of housing and community development policy in one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.
