Project Title: Grant Writer - Earn IMDb Credits & Fund Documentaries! (Remote)

Organization: Filming for Charity

Description: Do you have a way with words and a passion for storytelling? Filming for Charity produces high-quality documentaries for nonprofits (like clean water initiatives & medical missions) to help them raise funds. We need a volunteer Grant Writer to help us secure funding for equipment, travel, and production.

Why Volunteer With Us?: The "Producer" Perk! This isn't just data entry. If you secure a grant that funds a specific project, you will receive an official "Associate Producer" credit on screen and on IMDb. This is a massive resume builder for students, writers, or film enthusiasts.

Real Impact: Your writing doesn't just sit in a file; it turns into cameras rolling and stories being told.

What You Will Do:

Research: Scout databases for opportunities under "Capacity Building," "Media for Social Change," and "Capital Equipment." (We do not seek commercial film financing).

Write: Draft Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) and proposals that articulate our mission "Produce high-quality, compelling films for humanitarian organizations at no cost to the charity."

Manage: Maintain the submission calendar and track deadlines.

Who We Are Looking For:

Strong written communication (persuasive & clear).

Research skills (ability to dig for the right fit).

Self-motivated & organized.

Previous experience is a plus, but we are willing to train a strong writer.

Time Commitment: Flexible. Approx. 3–5 hours a week.

Skills: Research, Writing, Editing, Fundraising
