About Summit Journeys
Summit Journeys is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible and affordable outdoor adventures all. Our programs are designed to foster resilience, confidence, self-efficacy, and connection through meaningful experiences in the outdoors. We partner with schools, treatment centers, and community organizations to remove barriers and create transformative adventure opportunities.
Role Overview
Day Trip Volunteers play a vital role in bringing our mission to life. Volunteers assist with participant management, support group dynamics, help ensure safety protocols are followed, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment.
Volunteers may also:
Take photos to help capture and share program impact
Support activity setup and clean-up
Help facilitate various adventure experiences, including sailing, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, and more
No prior experience is required. Free training clinics are offered for each adventure activity to ensure volunteers feel confident, prepared, and supported in their role.
Day Trip Volunteers are essential in helping participants feel safe, empowered, and inspired in the outdoors.
