About Momivate

Momivate is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering mothers by providing resources, community support, and programs that recognize the vital role of motherhood. Through advocacy, education, and engagement, we aim to elevate societal respect for mothers and their invaluable contributions.

Role Overview

As the Activate Leader, you will oversee Momivate’s efforts to activate the powerful force that mothers are designed to be. This is one of our four core pillars (see our Mission Statement for details). Your role involves organizing events, curating resources, and building a team to ensure that no one is overwhelmed in carrying out these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

 Event Planning & Community Engagement

- Organize monthly MomEvents to inspire and uplift mothers.

- Develop and maintain a Perpetual Calendar of events.

- Foster community through Help Mums Unite! initiatives.

Content & Resource Coordination

- Collaborate with the Innovate Leader (Website) and Elevate Leader (Social Media) to compile resources for a weekly SMILE newsletter.

- Gather and distribute relevant materials to support mothers in their role.

Team Building & Leadership

- Recruit and train a team of moms to assist with Momivate’s Activate initiatives.

- Serve as a mentor and accountability partner for volunteers.

Swag & Outreach

- Manage promotional materials via PrintYourCause.com.

- Serve as a Mombassador by reaching out to women who could benefit from Momivate’s mission or who may want to join our team.

- Engage with individuals and groups, including giving presentations or representing Momivate on podcasts.

Expectations

- Dedicate at least 3 hours per week to fulfilling this role.

- Communicate proactively if life circumstances affect your ability to serve.

- Represent Momivate with enthusiasm, professionalism, and warmth.

The Future of this Role

As this role grows and evolves, there will be an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position on the MotherBoard. This transition, expected within the next year or so, will allow you to have greater influence in shaping Momivate’s future, contributing to high-level decision-making, and driving meaningful impact. As a board member, you will participate in weekly strategic meetings and play a key role in ensuring the sustainability of our mission. This includes helping to secure funding—whether through personal contributions, donor outreach, or fundraising efforts—to strengthen the organization’s initiatives. If you’re passionate about elevating motherhood and making a lasting difference, this role offers a pathway to expand your leadership and advocacy on a larger scale.
