Position Summary
Accounts Receivable plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant financial operations of YWCA Utah. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position oversees financial reconciliation, and reporting responsibilities. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines. Accounts Receivable contributes to the organization's mission by supporting financial transparency, accuracy in reporting, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Essential Job functions
- Financial Reconciliation and Reporting Responsibilities:
- Verify constituent payments and perform thorough Accounts Receivable aging reconciliations.
- Conduct audits and verifications for Divvy and other financial transactions.
- Audit Divvy transactions to ensure proper budget spending.
- Collaborate with the Development department to reconcile donation records.
- Maintain accurate records of petty cash and conduct monthly reconciliations.
- Ensure precise tracking and reporting of unearned revenue.
- Collect and track tenant rent payments.
- Track grant billing and help prepare billing backup.
- Manage the grant module in the accounting system.
- Provide backup assistance to the Senior Accountant when necessary.
- Provide backup assistance to accounts payable when necessary.

Qualifications
- An understanding of, and agreement with, YWCA Utah’s mission, values and philosophy regarding the elimination of racism, empowerment of women and commitment to anti-oppression work and social justice.
- Understanding and commitment to issues of cultural diversity and anti-racism.
- Ability to work scheduled hours on a regular basis, some weekends and evenings required.
- Proficiency with general office duties, computer systems and technology such as Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal communication, and public speaking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time, evaluate progress, and adjust activities to complete projects within established timeframe.

- If driving on business, a valid Utah driver’s license, access to an automobile, and valid auto insurance required.
Physical/Sensory Demands
Work is generally performed in a safe office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit for long periods of time; use computer to enter data; use telephone to converse with customers and employees; walk and stand for long periods of time; perform repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement. Travel to attend conferences, training, outreach and other events occurs routinely. Rarely required to lift up to 30 lbs.
