Administrative Assistant
Overview:
At Neighborhood House we provide quality preschool, youth programs and adult care in the Salt Lake Valley based on each client’s ability to pay As the Administrative Assistant, you will be the initial point of contact for our clients as they enter our premises. Your role demands a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a positive and welcoming manner.
As an Administrative Assistant, you'll not only be the friendly face greeting our guests and clients, but also the driving force behind our administrative excellence. You'll be the maestro of organization, ensuring our files and records are meticulously maintained. Not only will you be responsible for the collection and entering of data information into our systems, but also the keeper of valuable statistics that help guide our decisions.
In this role you'll collaborate with a team of professionals who are passionate about what they do, allowing you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Welcome and assist all clients and visitors upon arrival, aiding with the check-in process and addressing any questions regarding our programs.
Act as the central point of contact for families seeking to enroll clients in our services, including assessing fees and managing registration documentation.
Handle the collection of client payments in a professional and organized manner.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Foster effective communication with both clients and staff members.
Offer comprehensive administrative and clerical support, encompassing tasks such as client reporting, mail distribution, filing, copying, scanning, and more.
Take charge of office supplies, inventory management, and overall office organization.
Provide Spanish translation services, both written and verbal, as needed for organizational communication.
Calendar and meeting coordination and scheduling for the organization
Programs Data collection through different databases
Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (verbal and written)
- 3+ years hands-on administrative experience
- Energetic personality with commitment to excellent customer service across diverse populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
