Board of Directors Volunteer Opportunities

DDI Vantage, a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, is guided by a Board of Trustees. Its programs, primarily funded by State and Federal contracts, provide crucial services to infants, toddlers, and adults with disabilities, as well as to families in need. As a board member, your role is pivotal in furthering our mission, even beyond the governing board's functions. There may be periods when your assistance is sought in other aspects, such as fundraising, underscoring the significance of your contribution.

As an applicant, we encourage you to explore our program website at www.ddivantage.org. This will not only provide you with an overview of our non-profit but also offer a glimpse into the enriching experience and personal growth that serving on our board can bring.

Minimum Board Member Requirements:

◘ Serve a minimum three-year term. A second consecutive three-year term may be served by mutual agreement between the Board and the trustee, after which the trustee must rotate off the Board for at least one calendar year.

◘ Agree to attend ten (10) regular board meetings, typically 90-120 minutes long and scheduled on the fourth Thursday of each month (excluding July and December). Any member missing three meetings in a twelve-month period may be subject to replacement. Additional Board meetings may be called when necessary, and additional time may be required to complete individual or committee assignments.

◘ Each board member shall make an annual cash donation to the organization. Board members are expected to give to the best of their means at a level that they would consider generous.
