Capital Campaign Development Assistant
Hours: 15–20 hours/week (part-time)
Compensation: $20/hour, Start date of September 8.
Schedule: Flexible daytime hours with required evening availability, including Thursdays for events at the Tower Theatre and occasional weekend hours.
About the Role
Salt Lake Film Society is seeking a detail-oriented team member to support donor and event operations for our Tower Theatre: Next 100 Years capital campaign. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to make sure events run smoothly and ensure donor relationships are well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Thursdays for the Tower — Guest & Host Coordination
- Manage RSVPs and host communication for Thursday for the Tower Theatre events
- Send confirmations and RSVP reminders to guests and hosts
- Assist with event set-up and take-down
- Provide on-site hosting support during Thursday evening events
- Draft and send thank-you messages following events to guests and hosts
- Enter guest information and track donation in database
Database & Gift Support
- Enter Tower Theatre capital campaign gifts into the DonorPerfect database
- Ensure all campaign gifts are accurately and promptly recorded in DonorPerfect
- Prepare regular gift and campaign reports for the board and committee
- Maintain data accuracy and database hygiene for the campaign, including updating donor records (addresses, emails, and other contact information)
- Support fulfillment of campaign donor benefits
- Prepare and send campaign thank-you communications
- Coordinate with other staff to ensure consistent, accurate donor records across the database
- Compile emails and newsletters to donors
- Manage donor list integrity and information with accuracy
Capital Campaign Support
- Provide additional support to the Tower Theatre: Next 100 Years campaign team as needed.
- Attend and help coordinate community outreach events and actively engage with the public to educate about the Tower Theatre project.
Schedule & Availability
- Part-time, 15–20 hours per week
- Must be available to work Thursday evenings for Tower Theatre events and occasional weekend hours
- Some flexibility in daytime hours for administrative and database work
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data entry and reporting
- Experience with donor database software (DonorPerfect experience a plus)
- Excellent written communication skills for donor and guest correspondence
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage recurring weekly tasks independently
- Comfortable with light physical set-up/take-down duties for events
- Friendly, welcoming demeanor for in-person guest hosting
- Prior experience in nonprofit administration, development/fundraising support, or event coordination preferred
Compensation
$20.00/hour, 15–20 hours per week
