Case Manager
TO APPLY: Email resume and cover letter to valdirene@womenofworld.org. Applications may be submitted until the position is filled.
Women of the Word’s mission is to empower women from all nations to achieve independence, economic success, and a voice in the community. We do this through three programs: Customized Service, Community Development, and Economic Empowerment. Case management is the foundation of the Customized Service program but is also the primary vehicle driving all of WoW’s programs.
Case Managers connect clients to employment, health, and social service resources in the community with the goal of supporting clients to become more self-sufficient and self-reliant. Our Case Managers gain valuable experience connecting clients with a variety of resources, including those related to health care, childcare, housing, utility assistance, language and vocational training, family wellness training, emergency financial assistance, and transportation and interpreter/translation assistance. Case managers help clients access and utilize services in culturally and linguistically appropriate manners.
Customized advocacy builds women-to-women networks that empower English education, economic development, and/or human rights for Utah’s refugee women and their families. Women-to-women networks offer a safe place to build friendships supported by conservative cultures upset by post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) while empowering important gender-based, socio-economic skills that are largely under-realized by refugee women.
