Position Description

Title: Lead Child Care Teacher

Reports to: Child Care Director or Acting Child Care Director

Salary Range: $16+ per hour, DOE

Benefits: Birthday PTO, employee assistance program

Hours: 25 hours/week Monday – Friday 1:30PM- 6:30PM

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Child Care Director, the Lead Teacher (Willow Classroom) is responsible for planning and implementing activities with youth in Kindergarten through 1st grade. The Lead Teacher's primary focus is youth enrichment and safety. The Lead Teacher will be required to drive the children in a club vehicle.

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least one year of youth or child care experience
  • Experience/knowledge of preschool curriculum
  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Must be willing to obtain CDL with school bus certification
    • Preference given to those with a current CDL
  • Must be able to attend required child care trainings throughout the year
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Early Childhood Education, CDA, and/or experience in a teaching position
