Clinical Director

This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, survivor-centered care; providing clinical supervision and mentorship to therapy staff; fostering a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and accountability; and overseeing the day-to-day operations of mental health services in alignment with Safe Harbor's mission, values, and standards of care.


This is a position from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm with possible hybrid opportunities. Flexibility is required based on program needs and job responsibilities, including participation in on-call responsibilities and occasional evenings, weekends, and community meetings. 


Summary of Descriptions and Responsibilities:

Provides individual and group therapy services  to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence while maintaining trauma-informed, survivor-centered standards of care.

Develops clinical processes, program protocols, and service delivery approaches to meet program requirements and survivor's needs.

Is responsible for the oversight of crisis responses and follow up services, including clinical consultation, risk assessment support, and quality review as needed.

Reviews clients' progress and program outcomes with data management tools used to track and maintain record on an ongoing basis.

Provides training and education to Safe Harbor Crisis Center staff, as requested.

Recruits and provides weekly clinical supervision to Associate-Level Therapists and Clinical Student Interns.

Reviews and implements documentation sign-off regarding intake forms, treatment plans, clinical notes, and discharge documentation.

Facilitates Therapy Program team meetings and promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Oversees and reports on therapy-specific grant goals and objectives.

Oversees the Therapy Program budget and supports responsible resource allocation to meet program goals.

Conducts monthly one-on-ones and quarterly performance reviews with the Therapy Team.

Reviews and approves Therapy Team timesheets.

Determines and monitors therapist caseload sizes.

Collaborates with community partners to maintain and expand referral options for clients.

Manages the Therapy Program waitlist and implements strategies to improve client access to services. 

Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background investigation check.

LCSW or CMHC, as recognized by the Division of Professional Licensing for the State of Utah.

State-approved Clinical Supervisor status through completion of the 20-hour training course required by the Division of Professional Licensing for the State of Utah, or the ability to obtain the training prior to January 1, 2027.

A master’s degree from an accredited university in social work, counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field that meets licensure requirements in the State of Utah. .

At least 18 months of experience providing direct services to interpersonal violence survivors or other populations impacted by trauma.

At least two years post-licensure clinical experience, including experience providing clinical supervision, program leadership, or staff management.
