Clinical Intern
The Clinical Intern will provide direct services to survivors of sexual violence through weekly individual psychotherapy sessions, crisis intervention, and facilitation of a supportive psychotherapy group for survivors. When working with clients, we utilize a trauma-informed lens that focuses on empowerment and a strengths-based perspective. The role involves providing direct service to clients approximately 50% of the time, with the remainder focused on professional development, inter-agency meetings, training, and supervision. The internship includes excellent supervision, active engagement with a collaborative clinical team, and opportunities for professional growth through clinical training and ongoing consultation.
The internship is temporary and designed for individuals pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in social work, clinical mental health counseling, or psychology. It offers valuable clinical training experience for class credit. This internship includes a stipend of $20 per hour, up to 550 hours for the academic year. The stipend is contingent upon the availability of grant funding. Applicants from historically excluded communities are encouraged to apply.
