Term: Full-time
Compensation: $22-24/hour, DOE

Overview
The Community Engagement Coordinator supports Neighborhood House’s connection to the community through volunteer coordination, partnerships, and outreach activities. This role is responsible for executing volunteer programs, supporting large volunteer projects, and representing Neighborhood House at community events.
This position focuses on implementation and coordination rather than strategy and works closely with staff across departments to meet program and event needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and recognition.
- Manage individual and large group volunteer projects supporting programs and events.
- Coordinate and oversee large volunteer projects in collaboration with staff.
- Track volunteer hours, participation, and assignments in the database.
- Support and maintain community partnerships through coordination and communication.
- Represent Neighborhood House at outreach events, tabling opportunities, fairs, and meetings.
- Assist with community outreach activities that increase awareness and volunteer participation.
- Coordinate volunteer staffing and on-site support for events and programs.
- Assist with event logistics, schedules, materials, and volunteer coordination.
- Collaborate with program, development, and operations staff to meet volunteer and outreach needs.
- Maintain accurate records related to volunteers, outreach activities, and partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Spanish-speaking proficiency (written and verbal) required.
- 1–3 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or a related setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public-facing interactions.
- Experience coordinating groups and managing logistics.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and large volunteer projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
