Contract Grant Writer

Location: Hybrid (Salt Lake City, UT preferred)
Reports To: Executive Director
Organization: Women of the World (WoW)
Employment Type: Part-Time Contractor
(10–30 hours per week, flexible schedule) 

  • Research and identify new grant opportunities aligned with WoW’s mission and programs.
  • Write clear, compelling, and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding requests.
  • Manage the grant application calendar and meet all deadlines.
  • Collaborate with program and finance staff to gather data, financials, and narratives for proposals and reports.
  • Track grant submissions, awards, reporting requirements, and funder communications.
  • Assist in developing reports and success stories to demonstrate program impact.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to WoW’s mission of empowering forcibly displaced women.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of funding sources that support refugee, immigrant, women’s empowerment, or educational initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other donor management platforms.
