Development Coordinator

Overview: 

The successful Development Associate will be an excellent writer and communicator, that is highly organized and detail oriented. They will work in concert with the Development Director to coordinate and implement innovative and dynamic funding strategies to support Neighborhood House’s mission, including annual campaigns, workplace giving, fundraising events, and donor cultivation and stewardship. They will work closely with Program mangers to help compile accurate and relevant statistics for the organization and be engaged in a way that allows them to understand and tell the story of Neighborhood House to diverse stakeholders.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist Development Director in implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies through research, cultivation, and stewardship support for new corporate, foundation, community, and individual prospects.


· Assist with planning and implementation of all annual fundraising campaigns and events.


· Expand grant and special project funding opportunities through research and discovery of new stakeholders.


· Serve as the department expert on database management, and technologies and services necessary to achieve department goals.


· Create and maintain internal department process, procedure and database training as needed.


· Proficiently process donations, generate gift acknowledgements, and ensure timely receipting and reporting.


· Produce reports, queries, and list from database as needed.


· Manage coding of appeals and solicitations to ensure ongoing data integrity.


· Coordinate monthly reconciliation and annual audit requests in cooperation with Finance Department.


· Gather, analyze, and report out on organizational and community-wise statistics (demographic, income and industry trend data) for use in monthly, quarterly and annual reports to board, staff leadership and existing and potential funders.


· Provide onsite event support for annual fundraiser, including processing donations, tracking sponsorship benefits,


· Collaborate closely with the communications department to create social content that increases donor visibility, expresses gratitude to our partners, and messages donor impact on programs and community.


· Tell the story of Neighborhood House and its impact to all stakeholders.


Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree required.


· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.


· Proven experience with data management, statistical analysis, and process creation.


· Strong analytic skills, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.


· Practiced time-management skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and have strong organizational and project management skills


· Computer expertise including all Microsoft Office products, donor database systems, and as well as email and social marketing.


· Established reliability and ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, and independently.


· Demonstrate a positive, collaborative, and productive attitude, and be a flexible team player.


· Energetic personality with commitment to effective communication across diverse populations.


· Spanish language skills (written and verbal) are valued.


· Must be available to work on-site.


· Must be able to pass a background check.
