Overview:
Craft Lake City is looking for enthusiastic DIY Fest Exhibitor Servers who can provide great customer service for our 18th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented by Harmons. DIY Festival Exhibitor Servers will transport and deliver beverage and food truck orders to DIY Festival exhibitors. The Exhibitor Servers are responsible for receiving beverage orders from the DIY Fest Beverage Controller and food orders from participating food trucks, then transporting these items to corresponding vendors. Staff are required to verify the vendor is 21+ and properly wristbanded for any alcohol deliveries. To succeed as an Exhibitor Server, you should be friendly, proactive, and efficient. As an Exhibitor Server, you’ll also have a great chance to work with a supportive team of individuals who allow Craft Lake City to create a unique festival for our community. This position requires candidates to hold a Utah Sips and Tips Certification, or be willing to complete the training (CLC can cover certification cost).
This is a seasonal, paid, contract position for the DIY Festival, held Friday August 7th, Saturday August 8th, and Sunday August 9th, 2026 at the Utah State Fairpark. DIY Fest Exhibitor Servers are required to be onsite for extended hours during the festival, so working long hours in potentially extreme heat are factors to consider and keep in mind when applying for this position. Training will be provided
Qualifications:
● A customer-oriented approach with knowledge of DIY Festival’s beer, cocktail,
and food truck offerings
● Skilled multi-tasker, handling multiple beverage and food orders efficiently
● A friendly, attentive attitude
● A passion for providing customers with high-quality service
● Ability to manage crowds
● Experience may be preferred, especially if serving beverages or food
● Ability to walk, stand, and carry heavy trays
● Coordinating with food trucks to pick up and deliver food orders to exhibitors in a
timely manner
● Cleaning and clearing cups and food containers from vendors
● Checking identification to ensure customers are the proper age to purchase
alcoholic beverages
● Assisting with opening and closing duties
Requirements:
● Must be 21 years of age or older
● Must be TIPS Certified in the state of Utah, or willing to get certified (CLC can
cover cost)
● Must attend 1 staff meeting/training prior to the event
● Must be able to commit to working the 2026 DIY Festival, August 7-9
● Must provide transportation to and from scheduled shifts at the Utah State
Fairpark
● Willingness to work at peak hours
● Must be able to lift and carry 10-15 lbs and do hands-on physical work
● Must be able to stand on your feet for upwards of 8 hours a day
● Must be able to walk 10 or more miles each day
● Must be able to endure summer temperatures of 90 degrees and above
● No drinking while working
