Early Education Assistant Manager

Do you enjoy creating an environment where children can learn, grow and play? As an Early Education Assistant Manager, you will work alongside your peers to support, encourage, and develop teachers within your specific pod as they provide the daily enrichment in our toddler and preschool classrooms. You’ll work to ensure compliance with all licensing rules and regulations and that our teachers receive the support, guidance and training needed.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating weekly schedules and coordinating time off requests for your classroom teams to ensure adequate staffing within the program
  • Ensure classrooms within your team are always within ratio; responsible for creating daily plans for ratios and communicating those plans to the Early Education Manager.
  • Work with Lead Teachers and Mentors to remain in compliance with all licensing regulations.
  • Conduct monthly classroom observations to provide feedback to teachers on teaching methods, classroom activities and overall learning environments; report observations to Early Education Manager and provide coaching to teachers based on those observations.
  • Maintain and develop a schedule for teaching strategies for all teachers, including new hires.
  • Ensure lesson plans are completed weekly and provide feedback on plans where necessary.
  • Train and orientate all new hires, in conjunction with the Mentor Teachers and Early Education Manager.
  • Work in the classrooms in a teacher role for set number of hours each week.
  • Work with Early Education Manager to execute any disciplinary action.
  • Follow all licensing rules and regulations.
  • Gain knowledge of ITERS and ECERS assessments and support Leads and Mentors in improving scores throughout the year.
  • Work with other Assistant Managers in conducting PEEP assessments at the beginning and end of academic year.
  • Track teacher trainings and report hours to Early Education Manager.


Qualifications:

  • CDA Certification or Bachelor’s in Early Education
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in early education
  • First-Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Valid Utah Driver’s License
  • Obtain a Food Handler’s Permit
  • Maintain Confidentiality
  • Pass Child Care Licensing Background Check
  • Pass a drug test
  • COVID Vaccinated
  • Must speak, read and write English Fluently. Bilingual in Spanish a plus
