Job Description

Guadalupe K6 program is part of a non-profit organization that supports families from birth to adult education.

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join

our team. As an ESL teacher, you will play a vital role in helping non-native speakers develop their English

language skills, enabling them to succeed academically, and socially.

Responsibilities

● Teach English language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) to students of varying levels,

from beginner to advanced.

● Create engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse learners.

● Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and guidance to help them improve.

● Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and

confidence.

● Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a focused and respectful

atmosphere.

● Adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs and learning styles.

● Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.

● Maintain ML student records and administer WIDA screeners and yearly assessments.

Job Qualifications

● Licensed teacher with TESOL or equivalent endorsement/certification

● Spanish speaker preferred not required

● Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively.

● Ability to adapt teaching styles to accommodate diverse learners and varying proficiency levels.

● Enthusiasm for teaching and a passion for helping students achieve their language goals.

● Familiarity with ESL teaching resources and technology is a plus.

● Patience, flexibility, and the ability to work well in a team.
