Family Support Coordinator
Overview:
At Neighborhood House we provide quality preschool, youth programs, and adult care in the Salt Lake Valley based on each client’s ability to pay. As the Family Support Coordinator, you will work to provide wrap around services and support for the families of our clients. You will work to ensure our community is informed of the resources available to them and help facilitate their connection to these resources. Your role demands strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service always leading with welcoming manner and empathy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Take ownership for our Family Fun Night and Resource Wednesday Events.
- Collaborate with the Family Support Case Manager to assess client needs and develop strategies to address those needs.
- Ensure our clients and community are informed of our on-site resources and that these resources are being utilized to the full potential.
- Identify and provide ongoing support and connection to resources for our clients.
- Establish and monitor our cyber center curriculum to ensure families and individuals have the knowledge to utilize digital resources.
- Work in partnership with our Community Outreach Coordinator to manage volunteers for our different events and resources.
- Have a pulse on the community in order to assess current needs and trends.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all departments within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (verbal and written)
- Strong communication skills
- 1-2 years of Case Management Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little supervision.
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
