The House of Hope Executive Team is excited to announce a leadership opening for Residential Clinical Director for the oldest women’s residential program in Utah. House of Hope was founded in 1953 and has four facilities for women and young children. We invite experienced clinicians who are committed to a strengths-based, solution-focused model of trauma-informed care for women in substance use disorders and behavioral health treatment to apply for this supervisory position in Salt Lake City. 


Primary Duties:

- Serve as clinical director of the residential treatment team of twelve including therapists, interns, group specialists and case managers.

- Responsible for training, clinical and functional supervision, hiring and evaluating employees to promote unity, contract compliance, and program growth.

-Ensures that treatment service delivery meets the requirements for levels of care and best practices for recovery services for women.

-Provide leadership and structure for the community of women in treatment such that a safe, motivating, healing environment is maintained despite inherent conflicts and challenges of those in early recovery,

-Provide direct clinical supervision for all staff on the residential treatment team at various stages of professional licensure and development to ensure that staff follow all policies, procedures, and protocols

-Assists with assessment, intake and approves placement / level of care

- Responsible for the quality and quantity of all charting including authorizations, assessments, treatment planning

- Review discharges, court reports, daily notes, and all other documentation required by all funding sources

-Attends monthly coordination and leadership meetings

-Represents HOH and client interests in the community and partners with other agencies such as drug courts, DCFS, AP&P, Workforce Services, and other medical and mental health partners in Salt Lake County.

-Work to expand program to serve more women and offer additional services with strategic planning for credentialing, program evaluation and compliance with recovery systems of care.

-Especially suited for strong leaders who enjoy a challenge, have strong problem-solving skills, thrive on collaboration with other organizations and are committed to helping families in recovery.



We are looking for someone who is:


- Experienced in staff supervision and program management

-Licensed in good standing in Utah; licensed as an LCSW, MFT or CMHC for a minimum of 5 years

- Experienced with 5+ years in human service field, preferably in substance abuse and mental health treatment

-Organized, innovative and adept at communication and problem-solving skills.

- Must be adept at managing crises and resolving conflicts in a calm professional manner, able to balance multiple priorities and generally oversee the details of a healthy treatment community with the overall goal of empowering women.

-Able to communicate effectively and professionally in person and in writing,

-Good with computer and clinical documentation skills

-Most importantly, has a passion for working on a collaborative team to help women in recovery.

Hours: M-F, 8:30-5 pm, occasional evening/on-call responsibilities


Agency Requirements:

-Must be at least 21 years old.

-This is a non-smoking worksite.

-Must be able to pass extensive background check and drug test.

-If in recovery, must have at least 2 years of sobriety.

-Must have own reliable transportation, Utah driver’s license and good driving record.


House of Hope is a non-profit organization providing addiction recovery and behavioral health services to help women rebuild their lives and strengthen their families in eight facilities in SLC and Provo.
