Job Statement
The purpose of the Grants & Compliance Coordinator is to support the mission of Housing Connect in a wide range of activities that support the agency’s grant funded programs including coordinating the funding cycle for grants and leading data tracking and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for coordinating the grant funding cycle for government funded grants including grant application, contracting, and reporting.
• Complete and submit grant reports in advance of due date.
• Facilitate communication between grants team, program staff and external partners.
• Develop a strong working knowledge of funding regulations, best practices, and community standards for grant funded programs including FSS, ROSS, HOME and HOPWA.
• Support Grants & Compliance Manager and program staff in the development of program policies and procedures, partnership agreements, and subcontract agreements.
• Provide program staff with tracking and reporting support related to grant-funded programs.
• Perform related duties and tasks as assigned.
Work Model: May have remote availability, must be local to Salt Lake Area
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, interpret and provide training on funding contracts, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Excellent administrative skills including creating documentation and maintaining organized files.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products, including using more advanced functions such as automating spreadsheets, establishing shared calendars and utilizing Teams functions.
- Experience with project management including leading teams from across functions to accomplish a goal.
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn databases, including Utah HMIS, Emphasys Elite and other applicable systems
- Confident using data and tracking to inform a narrative about program performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships with internal staff and partner employees at all levels of the organization.
