Junior Achievement City Floor Manager - hiring for both SLC and Orem facilities
Position Summary
The JA City Floor Manager plays a vital role in facilitating JA BizTown and JA Finance Park simulation days. This position ensures that students have a positive and meaningful learning experience while supporting volunteers and educators throughout the day. The Floor Manager also provides training, operational assistance, technical support, and helps maintain strong relationships with schools and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead volunteer trainings and provide on-site support during JA City simulation days.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues, including computers and printers.
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
- Maintain and update school tracking databases.
- Ensure timely and accurate program registration data is submitted to JA USA.
- Support updates to curriculum and simulation activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, educators, and JA partners.
- Assist with special projects and provide general operational support as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to large groups and leading trainings.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Enjoy working with children and teenagers.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand or walk for at least 5 hours during simulation days. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Work Environment
This position is on-site at the JA City facility during school simulation visits. Schedule may vary depending on school group participation; some flexibility required.
