Job Description

Supervises the development, implementation, and expansion of JA’s capstone experiential programs, JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. Supervises team members at the JA City Orem location. Works closely with other education staff to collaborate and reach our organizational goals. Responsible for budget and physical upkeep of the facility. Manages operation details and registrations reporting to JA USA. Maintains community relationships with donors, educators, parent and corporate volunteers. Upholds quality standards for the organization, ensures adherence to program models, and program expansion. Provides operational and administrative support to Junior Achievement’s reporting and development team. Implements special projects as needed. 

Responsibilities

1.    Ensures excellence for the Junior Achievement City student experience.

2.    Recruits and renews school commitments to Junior Achievement City.

3.    Implements program growth and expansion strategic plan with assistance from the Vice President.

4.    Manages JA City team, program quantity, and quality.

5.    Develops and implements educator and volunteer trainings. Troubleshoots scheduling obstacles and approves school visits.

6.    Manage day-to-day operations during school visits.

7.    Conduct and manage staff hiring and scheduling.

8.    Responsible for all curriculum changes associated with JA USA.

9.    Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining current and past simulations versions.

10. Assists all program related board committees in carrying out their specific functions.

11. Maintains the expense budget and responsible for managing all facility maintenance.

12. Ensures adherence to program models.

13. Maintains good working relationship with constituents and other JA Cities to ensure the quality of our association.

14. Serves as the liaison to University Place Mall local management and security team in solidifying our relationship.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree or higher. Teaching certificate and classroom experience a plus. Two years of supervisory/management experience.

 

Strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, self-motivated, computer proficient, organized, people-oriented, ability to multi-task, ability to be flexible, ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, budgetary development and management skills, strategic thinking and planning, supervisory and management skills.
