Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to make a meaningful impact in your community? As a Kitchen and Operations Assistant at Neighborhood House your main role will be to deliver meals between our main facility and our satellite location. You will also play a vital role in ensuring our programs run smoothly by supporting meal preparation, delivery logistics, and day-to-day operations at both our main campus and our new satellite location. Each year, we serve over 100,000 nutritious meals to more than 500 children and adults, while maintaining a welcoming, well-kept main facility and an expanding satellite site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing meals for our satellite location and main campus.
- Deliver meals and ensure proper storage and serving procedures are followed.
- Run errands or deliveries as needed between sites and for the organization.
- Support the Kitchen and Operations team with general duties.
- Complete basic maintenance and cleanliness tasks at both the main and satellite locations.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the organization’s delivery fleet.
- Support teachers during meal time.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Utah Driver’s License and clean driving record (able to pass MVR check).
- Ability to pass a Child Care Licensing background check.
- Current Utah Food Handler’s Permit.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and willingness to jump in where needed.
