Latino Arts Youth Program Coordinator

Arts and Culture Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Education/Training Event Planning and Management Program/Project Management

The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County is seeking a part-time seasonal contractor to lead the development, coordination, and execution of the 2026 Latino Arts Youth Program. This role will design and implement culturally relevant arts education experiences for Summit County youth, culminating in a high-quality Youth Art Exhibition showcased at the Latino Arts Festival on June 12-14, 2026.

This is a contract position (March-July) focused on creative program development, stakeholder coordination, youth engagement, and festival exhibition production. While this is a hybrid position, onsite presence is required during the Festival, June 12-14, 2026 at Canyons Village as well as lead-up arts education activities. 

Contract Term: Five (5) months, with potential for renewal for 2027 (March 1 - July 30, 2026)
(Through completion of Latino Arts Festival 2026 + post-festival reporting period)

Estimated Hours: 5–8 hours per week


SCOPE OF WORK / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Contractor will:

Program Leadership & Development

- Design and produce the Latino Arts Youth Program, providing meaningful art education and exhibition opportunities for students across Summit County.

- Develop bilingual (English & Spanish) lesson plans centered on themes relevant to the Latino/Hispanic cultural traditions and heritage. 

Stakeholder Collaboration


- Coordinate regularly with Arts Council staff and the Latino Arts Festival Advisory Committee to ensure alignment with festival objectives and program goals.

- Serve as primary point of contact for educators and partners participating in the program.

Education Delivery & Support


- Teach lesson content to students and/or conduct educator workshops, assemblies, and/or training sessions as needed to support lesson plan implementation.

- Facilitate youth art creation sessions leading to exhibition-ready work.

Youth Art Exhibition Production

- Collect, organize, and curate student artwork for display at the Latino Arts Festival.

- Manage onsite exhibition installation to ensure a compelling, professional, and culturally meaningful presentation.

- Develop and execute festival activations to elevate visibility and engagement with the Youth Art Exhibition.

Program Administration & Communication

- Coordinate post-festival artwork returns to students, families, and educators safely and efficiently.

- Conduct post-program outreach, including surveys and feedback gathering from teachers, students, and program partners.

- Manage program budget and track receipts for all supplies and materials.

- Produce a comprehensive program report summarizing participation data, successes, challenges, and recommendations for future years.

The Latino Arts Festival is an annual cultural celebration in Park City, UT that showcases visual arts and crafts, live music and dance, poetry, film, and cuisine from Latin American and Hispanic cultures such as Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, and more.

The mission of the Festival is to bring the community together through arts and culture. It celebrates and acknowledges the uniqueness of the many cultures associated with this Festival by providing platforms for Latino, Latina, and Latinx artists and makers to share their art and cultural traditions, connecting our community through creative expression. Summit County, UT is enriched by our Latino residents—the Festival is for those residents first and foremost.
