Lead Teacher - Early Education

Are you passionate about shaping young minds, fostering creativity, and creating a nurturing learning environment? Neighborhood House is looking for a dedicated Early Education Lead Teacher to join our nationally accredited team. If you have experience in early childhood education and hold a degree in the field or a CDA certification with experience, we invite you to apply!

At Neighborhood House, we provide high-quality, play-based learning programs for children ages 15 months to 12 years old, including toddler, preschool, afterschool, and summer programs. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in guiding children through engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skills.

Key Responsibilities:

· Create and maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

· Implement Creative Curriculum, using play-based learning and interest centers to support child development.

· Develop lesson plans that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.

· Actively engage with children in activities, extending learning to indoor and outdoor spaces.

· Use informal and formal assessments to track each child’s progress and adapt teaching strategies.

· Implement positive behavior management techniques aligned with Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).

· Collaborate effectively with a team of educators and communicate professionally with families.

What We’re Looking For:

· Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field or CDA with 2+ years of experience.

· First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).

· Valid Utah Driver’s License.

· Utah Food Handler’s Permit (or willingness to obtain).

· Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

· Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written).

· Availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

· Strong ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all licensing regulations.
