LGBTQ-Affirming Mental Health Therapist (LCSW)

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Human Services Program/Project Management

Why Work at UAF Legacy Health

Want to join a stellar team of mental health professionals helping lead the charge for queer mental health

in Utah? UAF Legacy Health may be the place for you.

We are Utah’s community-powered LGBTQ+ health clinic, built on the belief that affirming care rooted

in trust and dignity should be accessible to everyone. Our team provides compassionate, trauma-informed

mental health care as part of an integrated clinic serving LGBTQ+ people, individuals living with HIV,

and the broader community.

Working here means being surrounded by colleagues who are deeply committed to their clients, to each

other, and to building a health system grounded in belonging and mutual care.

We invest heavily in our clinicians so you can do your best work. That means meaningful training

opportunities, strong peer support, and a practice environment designed for thoughtful, patient-centered

care rather than burnout.

Our campus in Salt Lake City is welcoming and comfortable, with a shared lunch and break space. You’ll

receive a budget to furnish and personalize your office so it feels warm, inviting, and reflective of your

therapeutic style.

We trust clinicians to practice like professionals. You will have meaningful control over client scheduling

because flexibility and autonomy are essential to sustainable care.

Demand for affirming therapy in Utah is high. We currently have a substantial waitlist and anticipate new

therapists reaching a full caseload within about three months, meaning the people who need you most will

quickly find their way to your door.

And yes, the little things matter too: great coffee in the clinic, and Café Noir just one block away when

you need to step out for a break.

If this description resonates with you, there’s a good chance you’ll feel at home here.
