POSITION:                                General Event Staff

SUPERVISOR:                           Production Lead

EMPLOYMENT LENGTH:             May 15 - 17, 2026

PART TIME/FULL TIME:        Part-time Seasonal

COMPENSATION:                   $20 per hour

           

NOTE: Projected hours for the duration of employment are approximately 30 hours. Festival dates are May 15 - 17, 2026. Hours will be approximately as follows: 

  • Friday May 15: 9am-10pm 

  • Saturday May 16: 12pm-10pm

  • Sunday May 17: 12pm-7pm 

 

DESCRIPTION:
These positions assist in the production of the Living Traditions Festival, a free and public festival that has served upwards of 30,000 members of the public each year for 39 years. These positions are responsible for the assistance in the execution of all production-related activities during our annual Living Traditions Festival. The General Staff directly supports the Production Lead and Performing Arts Program Manager, operating in whatever capacity necessary to ensure successful execution of the Festival, among other duties as assigned.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Event Execution

  • Support the Festival Leads in various roles throughout the weekend as needed. This may include but is not limited to: 

    • Supporting the Food Market Lead in the back of house maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food waste and cleanup, setting up food demonstration station; 

    • Supporting the Volunteer Lead by filling in for key volunteer roles where there are no-shows;

    • Supporting the Artist Leads with artist needs such as booth or performance setup, loading in gear, hanging signage and general setup needs; 

    • Assisting the production team with production setup such as setting tables, chairs, signage, canopies, trash can setup, etc; 

  • Support the Production Lead in all miscellaneous aspects of the Living Traditions Festival. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Preference for experience working large-scale festivals or events. 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • This position can be physically demanding. You must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds and sit or stand for prolonged periods;

  • Must be willing to be flexible and work a variety of positions throughout the weekend;

  • Ability to think and act quickly under pressure;

  • Strong teamwork skills;

  • Positive attitude.
