Marketing Coordinator
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah (BBBSU) creates and supports mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Our vision is that all youth achieve their full potential, and we believe a strong, passionate team is essential to making that happen.
We’re looking for a proactive, energetic, detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to play a key role in raising awareness of our mission and our social enterprise, BBBSU’s Donation Center. The Marketing Coordinator leads the planning and execution of marketing and communication campaigns across digital social paid and earned media, community partnerships and events, for BBBSU’s Donation Center and Mentoring Programs.

Responsibilities
Donation Center
- Lead marketing efforts to increase awareness of BBBSU Donation Centers and services.
- Promote donation drives, pickups, and social enterprise initiatives.
- Develop campaigns that encourage community donations of clothing and household goods.
- Partner across departments to support promotions, events, clothing drives, outreach, and customer engagement.
Marketing and Communications
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns that support fundraising, mentor recruitment, community engagement, and brand awareness.
- Manage marketing and content calendars across social media, email, website, advertising, media, and print.
- Create compelling content, including copy, graphics, photos, videos, emails, social media posts, and promotional materials.
- Support local and national cause marketing partnerships and campaigns.
Social Media and Digital Marketing
- Grow engagement, reach, and conversions across social media platforms.
- Manage website content and coordinate improvements to user experience, SEO, and conversions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create marketing assets and support organizational goals.
Media and Community Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and community partners.
- Secure earned media opportunities, event coverage, and mission-focused stories.
- Develop press releases, media pitches, talking points, and related communications materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of marketing, communications, PR, or nonprofit marketing experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience creating digital photo and video content.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
- Comfortable learning new marketing technologies and tools.
- Self-motivated, strategic, and results-oriented.
- Available for occasional evenings and weekends for events.
