Medical Assistant
- Provide administrative support to the psychiatrist by taking vitals of clients at check-in, completing medical record authorizations, scheduling clients for psychiatry appointments, and coordinating case management with the clinical team, therapeutic preschool specialists and community agencies
- Manage calls from caregivers and pharmacies, ensuring proper documentation
- Other administrative clinical support as assigned such as supporting scheduling and facilitation for psychological testing or outpatient caregiver groups.
- You are a professional. You have 1-2 years of experience working in a similar position providing administrative support to leaders and team members. You conduct yourself with integrity.
- You are a skilled communicator. You have excellent written and oral communication skills. You have experience communicating internally and externally in an organization.
- You work well independently. You have excellent time management abilities, can multi-task effectively and manage competing deadlines. You are detail oriented. You think ahead and can anticipate needs.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role providing administrative support. Work experience in a mental health setting helpful
- Education or experience in the fields of early childhood, psychology, social work, counseling or related field preferred. SSW or SSW eligible preferred
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Strong interpersonal skills in interacting with clients, visitors and staff
