Membership Manager
In spring of 2026, The Salt Lake Tribune will remove our subscription paywall and move to a voluntary donation-based membership. To support this shift, we are expanding our development team. The Membership Manager is a new senior position. You will oversee and project manage all aspects of the new membership program, including benefits, fundraising campaigns, stewardship, customers service and events. What You'll Do
Member Relations: Serve as the primary contact for members and small-dollar donors, overseeing benefit fulfillment and vendor coordination while development and managing comprehensive stewardship plans.
Campaigns & Communications: Project manage small-donor and membership campaigns, including list creation, timelines, and print/mail coordination, while assisting with campaign communications and cross-division coordination.
Member Acquisition & Retention: Partner with the Directors of Marketing and Analytics to develop and execute member acquisition and retention strategies, using audience and donor data to inform and strengthen fundraising efforts.
Event Support: Help plan and produce monthly member events - occasional nights/weekends required.
Compensation & Benefits
-Expected salary range of $85,000 - $89,000 based on experience

What We're Looking For
-Proven experience and progressively increasing responsibility in project management and nonprofit fundraising
-Experience managing membership programs
-Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
-Strong writing and communication skills
-Proficiency with Google Suite and Excel
-Comfortable attending events and speaking with donors/prospects
-Proficiency with donor databases and CRMs
-Experience with campaign/project management and related software
-Marketing and presentation skills (deck creation, donor communications)
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
