Overnight Behavioral Health Technician | Steps

Human Services

Pay: Range starts at $16.50/hour (pay is calculated based on years of related experience)

Shift Differential: additional $2.25/hour when clocked in for 3+ hours between 11pm-7am

Retention Sign-on Bonus!

     -  $2000 for Full-Time (36-40hrs/wk)

     -  $1,000 for Part-Time (>36hrs/wk)


Schedule: Various Shifts - See below

  • Night Shift 1: Wednesday-Sunday 12am-8am
  • Night Shift 2: Monday-Friday 12am-8am 
  • Night Shift 3: Saturday-Sunday 11pm-7am (part time)

Job Summary & Deliverables

The Behavioral Health Technician assists the multi-disciplinary treatment team to provide therapeutic and daily living services and structure to clients within a modified therapeutic community. The BHT also supports the workflow of the milieu and assists with de-escalation and emotional regulation.

  • Models and teaches independent living skills
  • Interacts with clients, observes behaviors, and communicates significant observations to treatment team
  • Distributes medications and follows medication management procedures
  • Collects urine analysis screens
  • Performs routine room and living-area inspections
  • Completes and maintains required documentation
