Part-time Program Coordinator
About WasteLess Solutions
WasteLess Solutions is a Utah-based nonprofit focused on reducing food waste through education, prevention, and diversion. Through our food rescue network, we recover surplus edible food and redistribute it to community organizations serving individuals experiencing food insecurity. We also support community education, volunteer engagement, and innovative programs that strengthen Utah’s local food system. We are a small, mission-driven team doing ambitious work in a fast-paced environment.
The main programs that apply to this role include:
Mobile Markets and Community Food Distribution: Launched in 2025, Mobile Markets bring rescued food directly to food-insecure neighborhoods in partnership with other nonprofit agencies. This distribution approach allows individuals to select the groceries they need, creating a dignified, choice-based experience while eliminating barriers to accessing nutritious food. Markets are generally held on Mondays to utilize the large supply of weekend rescued grocery items.Rescue-to-Table: This initiative transforms high-quality rescued food into nourishing, thoughtfully prepared meals for meetings, celebrations, and community events. By using majority rescued food to create abundant event meals, we reduce food waste while serving our nonprofit partners’ event foodservice needs.
