Patient Intake Coordinator (Full-time)

The Patient Intake Coordinator is a key part of the clinic team. The PIC oversees the new patient intake process and established patients annual recertification process. This position also attends and represents the clinic at community events. The clinic sees over 5000 patients every year and the PIC is an integral part of the process. 

Responsibilities

Oversees the new patient paperwork process and accurate compliance of POI (Proof of Income) verification

Audits Athena (patient EMR) for accurate patient appointments

Oversees patient scheduling for Physician Assistant and Medical Student Clinics

Manages the Intake email account

Attends community events and represents the clinic in the community

Tracks patient visit data

Supervises the Patient Intake Specialist

Trains front desk and other staff/volunteers on POI/Intake process

Work with Medical Director and Executive Director to discharge patients

Assists front desk staff to resolve patient concerns and difficult cases

Assists front office and clinic when needed

Participates in staff and department meetings, as requested by the Executive Director

Other duties as necessary to assure that the clinic is operating in an efficient manner

Education and experience:   

English/Spanish Bi-Lingual required

High school Diploma or GED required

Associate's degree required 

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Medical Clinic experience helpful
