Summary: The Program Administrator serves a vital role in fulfilling the Community Foundation of Utah’s (CFU) mission through supporting our community impact funds and impactful programmatic initiatives.

Position: The Program Administrator is responsible for supporting and administering CFU’s community impact funds, initiatives, and programming. 

Since 2008, CFU has deployed over $550 million in grants to nonprofit organizations, while spearheading a variety of community initiatives to address our state’s most pressing challenges. Roles & Responsibilities

 

Community Impact Funds 

  • Work closely with leadership to provide administrative support for CFU’s Community Impact Fund portfolio, ensuring seamless communication between CFU and Community Impact Fund stakeholders
  • Facilitate coordination and grantmaking for Community Impact Funds including GLM grant administration portal management, meeting scheduling, logistics and disbursements
  • Draft and submit fund grant applications on behalf of Community Impact Funds 
  • Serve as point of contact for Community Impact Fund committees, scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, recording any relevant minutes and supporting the preparation and distribution of advance and follow-up materials
  • Administer necessary data collection efforts and draft fund impact and grant reports
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling narratives around Community Impact Fund activities and opportunities
  • Respond to general community inquiries
  • Special projects as needed 


Community Programs & Initiatives 

  • Provide administrative support for CFU's programmatic initiatives including Invest in Success, Social Sector Sabbatical, and Morgan Stanley Community Development Graduate Fellowship
  • Facilitate administration, coordination and grantmaking for program initiatives including GLM grant portal management, meeting scheduling, logistics, disbursements and reporting
  • Support Philanthropy Committee, scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, and supporting the preparation and distribution of advance and follow-up materials
  • Collect and organize initiative content for inclusion in fund impact and grant reports, website, annual report, and grant applications
  • Respond to general community inquiries  
  • Special projects as needed 

 

Preferred Experience 

  • A minimum of two years’ work experience in a professional office environment 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Budgeting skills and experience with a high level of comfort with financial reporting 
  • Ability to forecast process bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills 
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft programs and high level of digital literacy
  • Data collection experience a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client service orientation
  • Comfortable with financial complexity and able to effectively apply financial information to grantmaking processes and other relevant tasks 
  • Ability to juggle multiple and disparate priorities efficiently and smoothly
  • Willing and able to adapt, change, or streamline processes based on shifting priorities, changing circumstances, and/or stakeholder resources and capacity
  • Understanding of the value and impact of continuous learning and iteration 
  • Transparent communicator open to both give and receive constructive feedback 
  • Eager to empathize with, and integrate, diverse perspectives and approaches
  • Candidates must live in or be in close proximity to Salt Lake City, Utah
