Program & Digital Media Coordinator
Job Summary:
As a Salt Lake Chamber employee, under the direction of the Women’s Business Center of Utah (WBCUtah) State Director, the Program & Digital Media Coordinator helps accomplish the center’s mission to help women build confidence, create opportunities, and experience success in business ownership.
This full-time position manages and implements WBCUtah’s statewide social media presence, digital communications, and online platforms while providing logistical, administrative, and promotional support for virtual and in-person entrepreneurial training workshops and events across Utah.
Working under the guidance of the program managers, the coordinator handles event logistics and assists with venue setup, check-in, and logistics, primarily for the 15 northern Utah counties, while offering secondary backup support for southern region programming. Additionally, this role oversees website updates, email newsletters, and presents WBCUtah’s monthly Marketing Playbook training webinar.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Event Logistics Support
In collaboration with program managers, create and execute a promotional strategy and schedule to promote WBCUtah training and signature programs through email, social media, collaborators/partners, and word-of-mouth (WOM), targeted to women and socially and economically disadvantaged owners, with maximum reach to drive engagement, registration, and attendance.
Collaborate with the program managers to help establish sponsorship packages and ensure sponsor benefits are fulfilled before events.
Utilize WBCUtah-designed templates and drop-in training information and images to create visuals and content for promotional strategies.
With guidance from program managers, coordinate digital communication with client registrants and participants of virtual and in-person training and multi-week signature programs using Neoserra CRM.
Provide hands-on logistics for virtual and on-site training—primarily serving the 15 northern Utah counties, with occasional support for southern region events as needed—including early arrival for A/V testing, tabling setup, guest check-in, live troubleshooting, venue cleanup, and capturing event footage for social media promotion. (Requires occasional local travel and infrequent overnight stays for
regional events.)
Provide wrap-up support for in-person and virtual training events by accurately marking participant attendance metrics in Neoserra CRM and reporting engagement.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
Maintain and monitor all WBCUtah social media accounts and channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok), adapting strategies as platform trends evolve to maximize reach and engagement.
Create, schedule, and publish promotional content, reels, stories, and carousel posts using approved image templates and social media calendars aligned with WBCUtah brand guidelines.
Capture photos, video, and client moments during live and virtual events to build an authentic library of visual content for social posts, reels, and stories.
Monitor and respond promptly to direct messages on Meta Business Suite (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and TikTok.
Coordinate content with team members via the #socialmedia Slack channel while keeping all intellectual property confidential.
Provide monthly social media metrics (followers, reach, engagement) at Statewide Team Meetings and prepare bi-monthly growth reports for WBCUtah Board of Directors (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov).
Oversee Mailchimp email distribution lists (8K+ contacts), manage templates, nurture sequences, and draft and distribute monthly newsletters (1st of the month), Mid-Month
Boost e-blasts (15th of the month), and targeted single-event bulk emails.
Website & Directory Management
Maintain the WBCUtah.org website on Squarespace through regular content updates, SEO optimization, and technical upkeep.
Monitor website analytics and prepare bi-monthly reports for the State Director and Board of Directors (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov).
Data Integrity & Operations
Manage WBCUtah Google Workspace account setup (@wbcutah.com) for new teammembers and assist with basic email/tech troubleshooting.
Monitor and manage the main info@wbcutah.com inbox frequently, replying promptly, forwarding messages appropriately, and assisting team members as needed.
Team & Organizational Support
Help set and accomplish WBCUtah and Salt Lake Chamber strategic goals, priorities,and deadlines.
Participate in weekly Monday Morning Zoom meetings (Mon @ 10am), monthly statewide team meetings (1st Mon), and Salt Lake Chamber All Staff meetings.
Serve as staff support to the Salt Lake Chamber events team as needed, including bi-monthly Business Women’s Forum luncheons, the annual Women & Business Conference (Nov), and other Chamber events as needed.
Qualifications:
● Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal team members, program managers, and external partners.
● Event Logistics & Support: Practical experience coordinating, scheduling, and executing logistics for virtual and in-person events, workshops, or training sessions (venue coordination, A/V setups, vendor communication, and registration tracking).
● Digital Marketing Proficiency: Expertise in utilizing social media platforms, Mailchimp or other email platforms, marketing strategy and scheduling, Squarespace website maintenance, and digital tools to engage target audiences.
● Strong Organizational & Time Management Skills: Able to prioritize logistical tasks, juggle event setup timelines alongside content calendars, and work efficiently under pressure.
● Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in maintaining CRM records, tracking project metrics, and ensuring organizational compliance standards.
● Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting webinars, drafting email newsletters, hosting event guests, and interacting with diverse stakeholders.
● Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (Neoserra), Google Workspace, generative AI tools, Squarespace, Mailchimp, and Meta Business Suite.

● Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are highly valued.
● Some college preferred or require equivalent practical experience in event coordination, marketing, or nonprofit administration.
Work Location & Schedule:
● Work Location & Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt. The coordinator will work daily on-site within the Salt Lake Chamber office in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, with regular local travel for event setup, and may include an overnight stay.
