Program & Operations Manager
Job Title: Program & Operations Manager
Status: Full-Time, Salaried
Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 annually (DOE)
Reports To: Executive Director
Location: Hybrid (2 remote days, 3 in office days)

Position Summary
The Program & Operations Manager serves as the connective link between Friends for Sight’s strategic plan, Executive Director, and program teams. This role translates organizational priorities into clear, actionable plans and ensures alignment across vision screenings, mobile vision clinics, brick and mortor clinics, SightFest events, and community partnerships.
This individual plays a key role in coordinating teams, strengthening systems, and supporting consistent, high-quality, community-centered service delivery. They help ensure staff and volunteers are aligned, informed, and equipped to carry out the organization’s mission effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Execution
- Translate the strategic plan goals into operational and program-level action plans.
- Partner with the Executive Director to ensure alignment between vision and day-to-day execution.
- Communicate priorities clearly across teams and support ongoing alignment with organizational goals.
Program Coordination
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and logistics for screenings, mobile clinics, SightFest events, and partner engagements.
- Support smooth execution of programs by aligning staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Ensure services are delivered in an organized, efficient, and age-appropriate, person-centered manner.
Operations & Systems
- Support the development and refinement of policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Review and analyze operational data, reports, and records to inform planning and decision-making.
- Help maintain accurate scheduling, documentation, and internal systems.
Team Coordination & Leadership Support
- Serve as a central point of coordination between program staff, operations, and leadership.
- Motivate and support teams to stay aligned, accountable, and focused on shared goals.
- Foster clear communication and collaboration across departments.
Strategy Translation into Team Goals
- Translate organizational strategic plan KPIs into:
- Program benchmarks
- Team-level goals
- Individual staff performance expectations
- Work with staff and leadership to ensure goals are clear, measurable, and aligned with organizational priorities.
Communication & Partnerships
- Maintain strong relationships with schools, volunteers, healthcare partners, and community organizations.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams to ensure clarity on priorities, schedules, and program needs.
- Represent Friends for Sight in a professional, collaborative manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Several years of experience in program management, operations, or nonprofit coordination.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Experience translating strategy into execution is highly preferred.
- Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, education, or community-based services is a plus.
